I could write you a novel
About how feelings pass
But it actually turned out
My love for you was just gas

It started from deep down inside
Warming in my gut
But I knew it wasn't love
When a roar came from my butt

I ignored another smelly call
And still assumed I loved you
The intestinal siren went off again
And I knew what I had to do

I had to go get some Gas-x
Which didn't help at all
Love was not the direction
We were meant to fall

I thought it was only passing
And the feelings I felt were true
